Our client, a global content recommendation and discovery platform, seeks a Head of Media Account Management, North America to lead a team of Account Managers and front line managers across the North American region. The teams mission is to deliver superior enterprise and mid-market customer interactions in order to drive increases in revenue growth and customer retention.

The ideal candidate is a subject area expert in digital advertising who can lead teams and collaborate with sales leadership to hit and surpass ambitious revenue targets. In this role you will coach, mentor and retain outstanding account managers, advocating for your team in the North American region while offering strategies the team can use to help customers reach their business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Form and maintain a superior account management team (e.g., recruit, vet, hire, supervise), with personnel ranging from seasoned managers to entry level staff; be a presence in client strategy meetings to keep a finger on the pulse of your teams interactions with customers and offer guidance for account managers to promptly identify and resolve any customer issues; step in as needed to address escalated challenges and opportunities with key accounts

Devise business strategies to ensure you and your team will hit and surpass ambitious revenue goals through upselling; lead quarterly reviews for revenue reporting and to surface issues and opportunities to senior management

Work with sales leadership, product teams and business operations teams to ensure the company is delivering a superior customer experience and teams are in compliance with internal content policies; be the voice of your team at internal leadership meetings and events

Gather, combine, document and report on customer feedback to the applicable teams, and to senior leadership where appropriate

Work cross-functionally with sales, professional services, sales, product, business operations and marketing teams as needed to drive overall team and company success

Required Experience, Skills and Traits:

15+ years experience with increasing responsibility within Client Services and upselling existing accounts, including 5+ years experience supervising teams of 30 or more, ideally in a startup/growth environment

Demonstrable track record of hitting and surpassing aggressive goals and related KPI targets

Extensive knowledge of the digital media space, including strong background in performance analytics and branding; knowledge of industry standard analytics tools; ability to make data-driven strategic decisions and share data with customers to better present the companys value proposition

Ability to gain deep expertise in customer businesses, goals and long range plans; experience working consultatively and strategically with customers to map company solutions to their business needs and goals

Experience establishing new and fostering existing customer relationships

Exceptional team leadership skills, with the ability to coach, influence and mentor both direct reports and colleagues
