The Alibaba.com North American team is looking for a Head of Global Marketing to lead the acquisition and retention of small business buyers and sellers for Alibaba.com. This position requires dynamic leadership of teams in New York, NY; Hanghzou, China; and San Mateo, CA. It also requires strong relationship management skills, the ability to align and coordinate disparate stakeholders, passion for helping small businesses, and powerful written communication and storytelling skills. Create a marketing program and manage its execution, including:. a) Brand marketing. b) Product and service marketing. c) Co-marketing. Measure the effectiveness of program, optimizing accordingly, and communicating results and decisions. Build and manage a de-centralized team of 10+ marketing professionals. Work closely with product, sales, and business teams (in NY & globally); collaborate with supplier marketing teams (China). Develop a budget and manage procurement processes. Participate in special projects or perform other duties when the situation calls for it; T-shaped employees will thrive here. Frequent international travel and socializing ideas with many stakeholders to get support. Expected impact:. Build a global marketing strategy from (almost) the ground up. Grow an international team of marketers. Globalize the program so that marketing in North America, China, and around the world ladder up to a unified strategy.
