Our Business Development & Strategy team is responsible for partnering with Bright Health s leadership and business unit executives to provide strategic direction, thought leadership, and market analysis to guide recommendations and for driving the execution of growth and differentiating opportunities for Bright Health. As the Director of Business Development & Intelligence Strategy, you will work closely with the CEO, Chief Health Office, Chief Technology Officer, and teams across the organization to lead the development and execution of our technology and intelligence strategy. You will help to analyze market dynamics, identify potential partnership and M&A opportunities, and develop and execute on a robust strategy that positions Bright s intelligence and services as differentiating in the market. You are passionate about the opportunity to set and execute a growth trajectory for a highly disruptive health care company looking to leverage its unique relationship with Care Partners, access to clinical and consumer data, and unique market position to drive the development of a growing strategy that looks for unique ways to delivery personable, high-quality, integrated care. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Principally leads the development and execution of an effective and differentiated technology strategy that support market performance and growth in current and future Bright Health markets Leads and support cross Bright Health initiatives by directly scoping, executing, controlling and closing strategy projects Develops key elements of long and short-term business planning, competitive response, and strategy, including but not limited to new partnerships, business models, and payment models Sources and develops relationships with key companies, across the care continuum, and works closely with our Corporate Development team on potential M&A and partnership opportunities Partners cross functionally with other Bright Health teams including but not limited to Health Optimization, Integrated Delivery and Design, Marketing, and Technology to analyze and make recommendations on our technology and intelligence strategy Serves as the organizational expert on the healthcare technology space, including but limited to the application of cognitive computing in health, artificial intelligence, and health IT Identify and evaluate potential acquisition and/or strategic partnership opportunities as well as adjacent business strategies within the healthcare services and IT market Support senior leadership in advancing and articulating corporate strategy Support the development of a robust competitive intelligence process Provider mentor-ship and leadership to junior business development staff members Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Will direct the activities of analysts and associates as assigned. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred 10+ years professional experience in strategy consulting or health plan/provider corporate strategy experience required; recent experience in the Healthcare IT space required. Exposure to and are familiar with insurance products, including Medicare Advantage and commercial products required. PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES Proven business development and partnership cultivation experience Strong analytical background, with proven business development and partnership cultivation experience. Deep knowledge of various care delivery models, and experience working with clinicians Attention to detail and polish; trusted to communicate with senior executives internally and externally Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in parallel and manage a wide array of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrates high levels of EQ and aligns with Bright Health values Willingness to learn and operate in ambiguity WORK ENVIRONMENT The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Travel will be required.
