The Opportunity Canopy Growth is seeking a proactive and dynamic Vice President of Investor Relations to oversee a world-class investor relations function in the US. Reporting to the Co-CEO The Vice President, Investor Relations, USA is responsible for providing strategic direction, hands on leadership and proactive management of a comprehensive investor relations strategy. Plans and develops all investor relations activities while building relationships with shareholders and the general cannabis industry community. Leads big-picture, long-term planning for investor related activities while serving as the day-to-day manager of proactive and reactive tactics related to changes in the market. Responsibilities Investor Community Liaison Serves as the primary point of contact between the investment community and the company Record and summarize all investor and analyst contact Proactively engage investors and sell-side analysts to articulate the strategy, operating results, business strategies and developments Responsible for traveling to major financial centers on an independent and regular basis to meet with current and prospective shareholders Strategic Planning & Communications Lead the strategic planning, direction and execution of the investor relations function, developing both short-term and multi-year targeting and communications plans Monitor, assess and report on business, financial and market intelligence developments Develop and manage all communications activities and materials including: Key messaging for all communications materials, events and presentations including proactive outreach and reactive responses Maintain schedule and master copies of all press releases, earnings releases, earnings scripts/calls, Annual Report, investor presentations and meeting/event schedules. Develop and execute processes to monitor and measure the effectiveness of the company s investor relations and communications efforts. Collaborator with Key Internal Departments Key point of contact to prepare the Senior Leadership Team for investor meetings, road shows, earnings calls, media outreach and shareholder meetings Work with Senior Leadership and internal departments to understand the timing and impact of business events, operating company or departmental moves, sales and marketing announcements and organizational changes. Provide Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors feedback from discussions with the investment community. Lead management preparation of key questions and issues for investor interactions Oversee industry trend monitoring and anticipate emerging issues Experience Bachelor s degree in business or finance. Sell or buy side experience is required Effective interpersonal, written and verbal skills. Strong analytical capabilities. Understanding of corporate finance and mastery of financial and investment terminology. Expertise in building models and stock valuation.
