IRIS Software Inc. is looking for a Business Development Director to develop new business in financial services accounts. The role is responsible for developing and building new client relationships for the IT solutions business.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for successfully selling IRIS solutions services in US Market to Financial clients
  • New Business Development. Experience working as a Hunter, obtain and develop new business clients and develop key relationships for locating new opportunities with financial clients for Iris Software Inc.
  • Identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities. Experience in presenting to C level executives of organizations and preparing formal proposals; presenting presentations, leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure .
  • Excellent experience of solution-selling strategies and tactics
  • Good understanding of building winning value propositions (based on both products and services)
  • Strong experienced in selling solution services (based on a combination of products and services) through effective cold calling and in-person visits, which foster a consultative relationship and increased business with the clients.
  • Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills
  • Should have met and exceeded Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Goals
  • Update Iris management team on a periodic basis

Required Skills and Qualifications

-New Business Development from an IT Solutions Consulting Company background

-7+ years of IT solution sales, at least 3 years of selling into financial services accounts

-Understands business processes in the Capital Markets industry including sell-side firms, buy-side firms, exchanges and ISVs.

- Has familiarity with functional areas such as front office/ middle office/ back office processes and prevalent technology products/ platforms

-Acumen to understand client s business, strategy and regulatory imperatives; subsequently aligns Iris strategy, solutions and services to add value

-Good Understanding in new and conventional technologies, best practices and platforms prevalent in Financial Services markets. Exposure to product sales (licenses) along with services is desirable

-Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to make effective technical and business presentations

-People-person with an innate ability to develop relationships at all levels of the client organization and maintain them on a longer term

-Ability to perform the role of a trusted advisor for clients and IRIS s management and stakeholders

-Good analytical, problem solving, presentation skills, e.g. budgeting and forecasting. Self-motivated and possess strong organizational and interpersonal networking skills

-Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

-Must have a Bachelors Degree

-Academic qualifications in business is nice-to-have. E.g. MBA, CFA, FRM, CPA
