Our smaller and progressive South Denver CPA firm client is actively looking to hire a motivated Junior or Experienced Staff level Tax Accountant (CPA) for an immediate role within the organization. This direct hire tax position offers entity & individual tax compliance exposure along with periodic project / business consulting work within a friendly, empowering, respectful, and relaxed work environment.

Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of Federal and State Tax Returns
  • A mixture of flow-through entity tax work (1065 and 1120S) -- along with challenging Individual 1040 tax compliance, including multi-state returns
  • Tax planning and research for clients on a variety of levels including various fed / state tax issues
  • Client communication and helping manage workflow
  • Special projects and business / tax consulting
  • Some general accounting and bookkeeping tasks as assigned

Ideal candidates will have 1-3+ years professional experience preparing Partnership, S-Corp, and Individual tax returns. That said, this client mentioned an open mind and willingness to look at candidates with a tax internship or even little to no professional tax experience (recent grads with a 4-year degree in Accounting). Any hands-on experience with UltraTax CS (tax software) would be beneficial.

This full-time role pays a competitive base salary, bonus plan based on firm profitability, medical & dental insurance, a generous PTO plan (4 weeks) along with capabilities for remote work from home offerings when necessary. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Master's in Accounting / Taxation is required for serious consideration along with a preference for candidates holding an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Candidates actively pursuing the CPA credential will also be given full consideration.
