The Department of Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is looking to bring a full-time digital product director to our Strategic Communications and Marketing team. The Digital Product Director will be responsible for guiding the production and management of the department's web projects and will collaborate across multiple teams to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality.. This role involves is both tactical and strategic, requiring elements of product strategy, content strategy, and project management. We're looking for someone who's highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate about creating intuitive, human digital experiences for people dealing with illness and looking for help.. Duties and responsibilities:. 1. Work with Chief Creative Officer and Marketing Director to define vision for digital products and experiences.. 2. Create and enforce project plans, schedules, deliverable lists, and timelines across multiple teams.. 3. Communicate project updates within the team and with other stakeholders.. 4. Assess content needs from both an audience and stakeholder POV.. 5. Develop content strategy, taxonomy and hierarchy.. 6. Control project management tools.. 7. Manage collection of assets and information from multiple internal divisions.. 8. Create technical specifications based on individual project needs as needed.. 9. Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects/ideas.. Minimum Qualifications for Grade. Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant.
