Job Summary




Working as a Senior Unit Marketing Manager for the Company will allow you the opportunity to work with GREAT people like yourself! You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Marketing Plan and Budget for each fiscal year with the goal of increasing and retaining existing market share. Works with Chartwells staff members to ensure a quality program meeting and exceeding corporate standards.



*Key Responsibilities:*



* Works with the team in developing the strategy and overseeing the execution of special events to design creative and educational experiences for the university community

* Assists with the development of concepts, themes and formats for other major dining events that engage students and university community, Oversees development of content for event correspondence, collateral materials, social media and web

* Works closely with senior level university administration and develops relationships throughout university

* Coordinates with University Marketing and other departments on campus to communicate various aspects of Dining Services being the main liaison for communications with our client and others

* Creates annual reports used by dining program that support results and rankings

* Shares on-trend menu suggestions and market trend research to enhance event success

* Coordinates and execute all Xhibition Kitchen events working with cookbook authors, publishers, guest chefs, Teaching Kitchens, private catered events etc.

* Approves all aspects before the day of the event including menus, room set up, and event d?cor to enhance all events to ensure these are executed properly. Analyzes the event's success and prepare files to archive as a reference for future events

* Develops, organizes and manages all events from the point of contract to the hands-on execution of the event. Successfully materialize the vision of the university, exceeding expectations at every opportunity while working with all

* Coordinates and work with team and directors to implement Menus of Change Principles across campus ensuring we are always up-to-date with current trends- create a campus wide plan to implement each semester

* Maintains all information from corporate and university about Green Plan and sustainability to communicate, collaborate and co-create yearly Green Plan

* Leads in all marketing, advertising and promotional activities

* Analyzes customer research, current market conditions and competitor information

* Develops and implements marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts

* Expands and develops marketing platforms

* Monitors, reviews and reports on all marketing activity and results

* Delivers marketing activity within agreed budget

* Reports on return on investment and key performance metrics

* Creates marketing presentations



*Preferred Qualifications: *



* BS degree in marketing or hospitality management or equivalent years of experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Marketing field. Experience and/or knowledge of the Hospitality, Foodservice and/or Educational industries is strongly preferred

* Minimum of five years of marketing experience

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

* Ability to present to large groups Previous food service marketing experience preferred

* Knowledge of merchandising and promotions

* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
