Position Summary

This opportunity is flexible with remote work.

The Junior Loan Processor orders and follows up on vendor services.

The Junior Loan Processor must act as a liaison between the Mortgage Loan Originator and the Processor to ensure completion of loan submissions.

The Junior Loan Processor will assist the Loan Processors with any items requested by processing.

The Junior Processor will manage, prepare and send all initial and revised disclosures as required by regulation and law.

The Junior Processor will serve as backup to the rate lock desk to lock loans with investors and process lock inside loan origination system.

Major Duties and Essential Functions

  • Order services from third party vendors as needed.
  • Communicate and follow up with third party vendors for documentation required.
  • Review file for completeness and accuracy prior to processor review.
  • Verify information received from third party vendors.
  • Document loan with detailed notes as they relate to items ordered prior to sending to processing.
  • Learn and comprehend Encompass screens and fields.
  • Notify all parties when issues are identified.
  • Maintain a pipeline management system to keep up with file follow up.
  • Prepare initial loan disclosures.
  • Prepare revised loan disclosures.
  • Serve as backup lock support.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:

  • Encompass or similar LOS experience preferred.
  • General understanding of mortgage banking concepts and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Detailed knowledge of Federal and State disclosure requirement a plus.
  • Familiarity with Texas Cash Out 50(a)6 compliance requirements.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to input and retrieve data in loan operation systems.
  • Ability to produce documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide superior level of service.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 years of mortgage operations experience.
