About Trepp
Trepp is currently seeking a sharp Assistant Vice President in our Product Management group to be a key member of the team responsible for a leading suite of products focused on global CMBS markets. This team is charged with the overall product line contribution as a business unit while ensuring the product supports the company's strategic goals. This includes driving revenue growth for existing products as well as identifying and developing new products to capitalize on opportunities in the CMBS sector.. The AVP will be responsible for the execution of development efforts and go to market activities throughout the product lifecycle including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product roadmaps, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and account management to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the CMBS from a risk, trading and commercial real estate surveillance perspective or highly relevant experience in product management with a demonstrated ability to learn new subject matter quickly. They will be able to leverage their expertise, knowledge of end user workflows, customer and prospect feedback as well as their network of contacts to help with the definition of the product strategy, product roadmaps and positioning. They should also possess a blend of business and technical savvy along with a demonstrated ability to achieve targets.. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):. Research and validation of new product ideas and initiatives by interviewing customers, rapid proto-typing, lean customer development and building financial models to validate proposed initiatives. Collaborating across organization including finance, sales/marketing, and legal to successfully support go to market activities for suite of products. Planning and writing business requirements and functional specifications for product enhancements and working closely with the technology department to implement these new features. Management of ongoing scrums, execution of deliverables on time and within scope via traditional project management activities. Routinely provide customer support on technical, workflow and business logic related questions pertaining to loan, bond and derivative valuation. Prioritizing product development based on revenue potential, evolving market needs and budget factors. Analyzing the user impact of product features and define key metrics for success. Contribute to Thought Leadership through creation of blogs and white papers on topics related to Trepp's CMBS products and the market. Present at conferences and/or create webinars that are topical to Trepp's customer base or target market.. Required Qualifications:. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or Real Estate. 5+ years of experience in Structured Finance (ideally CMBS) or Product Management. Understanding of the commercial real estate debt capital markets preferred. Prior exposure to writing user stories, development of personas, creation of specifications and execution of product plans leveraging analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills desired. Prior experience in waterfall and agile web product development and managing projects across products within different product life cycles would be a plus. Extensive knowledge of Trepp's products that are used as the industry standard for trading global CMBS is a plus. Preferred Qualifications:. Highly organized, results- and detail-oriented. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well within diverse groups. Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and meet objective deadlines. Demonstrated analytical/problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of technical development, testing and launch processes. Able to distill complex information to its essence. Familiarity with databases, APIs, and similar web development technologies. Track record of successful collaboration with cross functional teams to solve complex analytical tasks. Proven record of project management, consulting and/or customer advocacy skills would be a plus.
