GENERAL SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Email Marketing is responsible for managing email marketing campaigns and maximizing revenue opportunities from the company's CRM and customer database. In this role, you will combine your current knowledge of email marketing skills and best practices to support our overall marketing initiatives. You will provide strategic approaches on segmentation/targeting, deployment times, campaign execution, and helping to reach our targets with efficient email campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, segmentation, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization, leading campaigns to successful completion adhering to strict timelines.
  • Manage email calendar, send volume and themes, define cadence based on performance testing, internal learnings, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Segment and build emails based on various customer behaviors, working to improve retention, engagement, open rate, and inbox percentage while remaining CAN-SPAM and CASL compliant.
  • Champion continuous advancement of our email features and capabilities including targeting, segmentation, personalization, and template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Create and analyze email reporting dashboards in order to provide actionable insights and recommendations that deliver continuous improvements to our email program.
  • Work with and fully manage partnerships with external vendors as needed to ensure health of email infrastructure and meet needs of business partners.
  • Recommend process improvement on delivery of data and creative assets.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders on campaign scheduling, targeting, mailing issues, procedures, and expectation setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus.
  • 6+ years of email marketing experience, including strategy, implementation, analytics and reporting. Knowledge of best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Return Path.
  • Strong project management skills: experience coordinating cross-functional teams, delivering results and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with GA 360?.
  • Ability to manage 1--2 direct reports.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript.
  • Retail apparel experience a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Experience working with marketing databases/campaign management tools.
  • Experience managing cross-functional relationships, especially with IT, Marketing, and CRM teams.
  • Creation and utilization of dynamic email templates and subsequent source systems.
  • Knowledge and experience using micro-strategy.
  • Attention to detail, tech savvy and very comfortable with digital analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and multi-functional teams.
  • Flexible/Adaptable - able to quickly shift priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
