Provider Relations Specialist

We are looking for a candidate who will drive referrals and admissions for the world-renowned ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders (ACUTE) at Denver Health, both the first and the premier medical stabilization inpatient eating disorder program in the country. This community liaison acts as the subject matter expert on the services provided by ACUTE primarily to hospitals and secondarily to residential treatment centers, and other outpatient professional providers. The Provider Relations Specialist is tasked with demonstrating that we are the place for patients to get the best medical-based treatment, foundation for long-lasting recovery, and integrated medical support for patients and families dealing with serious and life-threatening eating disorders and related conditions.

ACUTE at Denver Health was founded in 2004 and is proud to be honored by Anthem Health as the only Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders, the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. ACUTE is located in a brand new 30 bed private medical telemetry unit in Denver Health Medical Center, a nationally ranked academic medical center.

This position will be based on the east coast where the candidate must live, while reporting to the ACUTE Headquarters in Denver, Colorado. This position will report directly to the Field Marketing Manager of ACUTE, and will work in collaboration with other Provider Relations Specialists around the nation to execute marketing plans consistent with the companys mission to provide life-saving medical stabilization for patients suffering from extreme forms of eating disorders and the resultant dangerous and complex medical complications.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Being the face of ACUTE to assist and serve people and providers in your community
  • Creating the outreach marketing calendar for your area; setting up presentations, outreach booths and symposiums
  • Sharing information about ACUTE and eating disorder education to drive admissions
  • Developing creative and effective marketing campaigns in alignment with company goals
  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with professionals; scheduling and attending networking events
  • Establishing and maintaining an organized database of current and potential referral sources
  • Generating competitive analysis and response strategy, predicting and responding to trends in the market place

  • Someone who is self-motivated and goal-oriented. The position works remotely but still as part of a team, assisting in hitting both personal and team goals.
  • Experience with community relations and relationship building is a must. The most successful candidates will be able to call on professionals of all levels, particularly hospitals, to foster and grow those relationships and referral sources at a high rate generating growing admissions to ACUTE.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, management, a mental health field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous work in mental health, substance abuse, or eating disorders is a plus.
  • Salesforce knowledge is a great benefit, but willing to train the right person.
  • A passion to serve and show that ACUTEs unique evidence-based medical and psychological treatment is committed to the highest quality of care and lasting recovery.
  • Must be able to create and maintain trust among the professional community.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory 70-80%.

This position will need to sign a non-compete agreement, ensuring confidentiality of the ACUTE brand, its relationships and process.
