We are looking for a high-energy public relations and marketing professional who is tapped into culture, the latest trends and has passion for media relations and building relationships to work on industry leading consumer apparel and sports brands.. Responsibilities. Serve as a key driver of news bureau for lifestyle clients, spanning year-round and seasonal brand/campaign story pitching, product seeding and overall earned media efforts. Ideate, plan and oversee media-centric events, including product showrooms and campaign launches. Support the building of strategic communications plans and campaign media strategies. Cultivate long-term relationships with key lifestyle, fashion, fitness, sports and consumer media and influencers on behalf of clients. Write client-ready press materials and internal communications documents. Stay on the pulse of culture and industry trends - keeping up and interacting with relevant media and influencers on a regular basis. Work collaboratively with cross-agency functions (Talent & Influencer, Branded Experiences, Branded Content, etc.) for broader client programs and activations. Develop strong relationships with clients and maintain a steady pulse on their brands' business strategies, products/services, target audiences/consumers, competitors and larger industry issues. Aid in account monitoring and reporting processes, as well as upkeep of brand media lists. Manage and delegate to junior-level staff, setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources, monitoring progress and sharing feedback. Attend regular client meetings and conference calls. Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers, managers and junior staff. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and demonstrate an understanding of how they integrate into communications programs. Serve as a mentor and resource for junior-level staff members, both on account teams and within the broader Communications group. Qualifications. 3-5 years of relevant experience in integrated communications and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing (lifestyle consumer brand experience preferred). Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university. Strong network of media and influencer contacts. Proof of earned media placements. A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools - including research, writing and editing, and developing/maintaining media relationships - and how they are used to achieve client goals. A fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing media strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple levels of internal staff and external clients. The ability to navigate the ever-changing earned and social media landscape. The interest and drive to stay on top of trends and proactively recommend opportunities for insertion of clients in pop culture moments. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work. A strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be a team player. Apparel or fashion industry experience is preferred. About Us.
