Job Overview:

The Principal Consultant will sit on the Public Sector Service Delivery team and will primarily work with Higher Education accounts.

This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills, and maintain positive client relations. This candidate must possess the ability to oversee multiple projects, manage escalations, perform budget reviews, provide mentoring and coaching to Premium Implementation consultants, and communicate to internal and external executives. Prior experience working with Time & Material projects and Higher Ed clients and deployment knowledge of the Travel and Expense, as well as the Invoice, product suite is required.

The

Principal Consultant

oversees the Travel and Expense service configuration from the transition from Sales through Deployment. The

Principal Consultant

participates in key project milestones, such as the Strategy Session and Fit Analysis, as well as reviewing and approving all design decisions. The

Principal Consultant

also performs quality checks at key points in the Implementation.

Responsibilities:

Assess/evaluate client requirements, provide Best Practices guidance, monitor project scope, and review project plans and resource scheduling

Ensure customer satisfaction through regular client interaction with Project sponsorship and Steering Committees

Manage client expectations and escalations and championing client needs, when necessary

Strong internal communication skills including the ability to work with all levels of the organization (R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Client Development, and within the Professional Services Group)

Develop, implement and document processes and efficiencies resulting in an efficient, cost effective delivery model with customer satisfaction, and referenceable clients

Conduct Budget Reviews, on a Monthly basis, comparing Actual hours used, and expenses incurred, to the Project Budget

Determine work priorities in accordance with project schedules, changing work demands, and policies and practices; coordinate resources for projects and assign work to internal and client teams as necessary

Review customer surveys to fine tune teams skills and approach to achieve and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Proactively manages escalations through appropriate resources until closure.

Develop strong working relationships with peer Consulting Managers; collaborate to standardize and improve the implementation process across the teams

Provide mentorship, coaching, and goal setting assistance to support the development of Premium Implementation resources

Build productive, trust-based relationships with people by treating them with dignity, respect, and fairness, while valuing their diversity in background and views

Deliver results to align with SAP Concurs corporate objectives (customer success, employee engagement, growth, and margin)

Strong working-knowledge of how to set up Time & Materials billing projects in Salesforce is a plus

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Training required

BS/BA or a combination of experience and education/training equivalent to a four-year college degree

Eight years of experience in a software/services consulting environment, preferably financial services.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of implementation methodologies and project management in a SAAS software company

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid, and ever-changing work environment and able to facilitate changes as situation requires

Must be a quick study and self-starter, able to roll up sleeves and manage hands-on in a team environment

Must be able to travel to Client sites as required by the Statement of Work. The estimate is 20 - 40% Travel on an annualized basis.
