Your primary focus will be to liaise/build traction with the media and further the CEO s and leadership team s positioning as the 'industry authority in the middle market CRE investment space. A secondary focus is providing marketing support for capital raise goals and investor relations, which may include a mix of content development, pitch deck (PowerPoint and graphic design) creation, and market/industry research.Qualifications and SkillsAt Fairway America, we only look to hire A players for whom success, integrity and achievement is simply what you demand of yourself. That being said, an ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following:* BS/BA in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a similar field preferred* Minimum of 5 years experience in communications / public relations* Proven working experience in public relations required* Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at a national level* Creative thinker and problem solver* Excellent writing and editing skills* Excellent verbal communicator* Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint* Demonstrated ability to work with a team and independently exercising discretion and judgement* Driven to learn about new communications/marketing technologies, trends, tactics, and competitive strategies* Strong project management and organizational skills* A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all of your dealings and an ability to adhere to the company s core valuesSKILLS THAT ARE A PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:* Strong relationships with national business and industry media outlets* Some background in real estate, lending, mortgages, or banking industry strongly preferable* Experience (not expert level) in Adobe Creative Suite* Demonstratable experience in basic graphic design (skilled in PowerPoint pitch deck development)Responsibilities* Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print and online media* Coordinate all public relations activities* Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media* Manage media inquiries and interview requests* Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations* Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis* Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis* Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness* Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them* Help maintain the organization's corporate image and identity* Oversee the development of biweekly blogs written by Fairway s leaders, including topic calendar* Develop Fairway s monthly eNewsletter* Support marketing PowerPoint pitch deck creation and version management* Provide accurate and thorough proofreading review of all marketing and communications documents* Research industry/asset classes/competitors, target markets, trends - For example, commercial real estate agencies (CBRE, JLL, Cushman, Newmark, etc.)* Support the develop of our CEO s next bookThis position is full-time, but we may consider part-time or contracted as an alternative for the right relationship.BenefitsFairway America is committed to maintaining an inspired, positive work environment full of talented and motivated people who share, demonstrate, and live the company s core values.
