Our client has a very rich history of discovery and innovation. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Director, Marketing.

The Director of Marketing will own the comprehensive market access strategy.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Sits on the US leadership team.
  • Translates customer and market insights into strategies and tactics.
  • Secures, maintains, and protects national, regional, and state level across the US.
  • Collaborates closely with colleagues of medical affairs, health economics, finance teams, field teams, pricing teams, etc.
  • Hires, trains, leads, and develops members of the field payor team, responsible for calling on and handling national and regional payors to secure and maintain market access.
  • Leads developments of the platform value proposition.
  • Ensures that their direct reports are partnering with local teams to understand and address access issues.
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive advocacy and policy strategy.
  • Leads external partners in the development of strategies and tactics.
  • Educates/activates internal and external partners to work toward crafting positive market access positions.
  • Implements creative marketing programs including KOL development and publications.
  • Contributes to and leads annual brand planning and resource allocation in conjunction with other market leaders.
  • We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Market Access.
  • Demonstrated financial, business, leadership and market access acumen.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of direct leadership experience, and experience having direct responsibility of an external-facing team.
  • Experience developing or executing policy and advocacy strategies, and direct responsibility of payor contracting and pricing strategies highly preferred.
  • Must have proven managed markets and customer segment and pricing knowledge.
  • Proven understanding of pharmacy and medical benefit plan designs required.
  • The ability to travel up to 35%.
