Purpose:

~ Provide strategic and tactical input for developing and executing sales and marketing plans. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned vehicles, its target customers, dealer engagement levels and the competitive segment marketplace dynamics. Manage monthly Product Review Meeting (PRM) reporting on assigned vehicle line(s) performance compared with monthly objective. Provide in-depth analysis and recommendation for sales performance improvement such as in marketing, incentives, pricing, product or supply distribution.

Major Responsibilities:

~ SME: Maintain continuous, 360-degree understanding of assigned models market place dynamics, trends, target customers behavior, key competitors, dealer engagement levels, model features/specs and advantages / vulnerabilities.

~ Business Unit Management: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing in jointly setting the quantitative and qualitative objectives for each model. Identify the key product, marketing and sales programs required to achieve the set objectives.

~ Market: Collaborate with Marketing to ensure product concept, positioning, key attributes/competitive advantages are clearly communicated and with consistency throughout.

~ Product: Collaborate with Product Planning to provide immediate and upstream input to ensure assigned product meets Sales and Marketing channel marketplace needs.

~ Sales Operations: Operate closely with field leadership to collaborate, manage and optimize media messaging, incentives and provide strategic/ tactical inputs to drive the monthly go-to-market plan.

~ Training: Collaborate with Sales Training team to ensure key product points / competitive advantages are clearly communicated (ensure consistency with key marketing messages, positioning, and proper competitor comparisons are used)

~ Make recommendations for Long Range Product Plan adjustment to ensure proper cadence of new model introductions.

~ Regularly review total line-up plan and make recommendations for lifecycle enhancements ensuring consistency across model lines

Authority:

~ Product development management.

Education:

~ Must be a high school graduate

~ Bachelor s degree preferred

~ Master s degree is a plus

Related Experience:

~ Minimum 8 years of professional experience in automotive manufacturer/distributor with direct product responsibilities (planning, marketing, and/or sales).

~ Five to seven years of supervisory experience desired.

~ Cross-functional team management experience is required

Skill/Knowledge:

~ Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency.

~ Good organizational and team leadership skills.

~ Effective communication skills.

~ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

~ Ability to simplify complex issues, develop compelling point of view, persuasively make case for change leading to action.

~ Strong automotive technology knowledge.

~ Strong automobile industry knowledge.
