The Business Development Representative attends industry events, maintains thorough knowledge of the industry, our competitors, and sells the company to prospective customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Develop new fleet business by cold calling, following up on referrals and trade show and other marketing generated leads, and networking Act as the primary contact between the fleet prospect or customer and the company Continued site visits to key clients in-house garages (account management, retention and penetration) Assist the Customer Support Group on customer related issues Provide industry, market, and competitive intelligence Attend trade shows and other industry-related events Develop and cultivate relationships within the Holman organization as it pertains to fleet and fleet customers Learn and assist in Holman Parts Ford dealership account management sales team roles and responsibilities as they relate to compliance to the sales, distribution and core agreement with Ford Motor Company Be fully educated on all Holman Parts operational and logistical capabilities Be available to assist in meeting with all partner OEMs Participate in company conference calls and meetings Provide regularly scheduled reports to the sales manager Be able to enter all activity into Salesforce.com Other duties as assigned. Prior experience in sales, business development, or account management. Ability to perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to analyze information and draw logical conclusions.
