Purpose:

~ The Senior Group Manager, Genesis Product Strategy is responsible for leading Genesis corporate planning and strategic efforts, most notably the development and implementation of launch and lifecycle strategies for all Genesis models. This includes finding the optimal market positioning for Genesis models and working closely with Marketing to ensure the strategy is implemented. This position collaborates with Genesis Product Planning on future product strategy, brand positioning, design direction, packaging and pricing. This position also supports Genesis top management and HMA executives by leading broad strategic initiatives related to Genesis.

Major Responsibilities:

~Lead Genesis New Model Launch Strategy Development: work closely and guide the Genesis Sr. Mgr. Product Strategy on conducting extensive competitive / market /consumer analysis, develop product positioning, identify target buyers, and prioritize USPs that will differentiate Genesis products.

~Work closely with Marketing and agency partners to implement/sustain the launch strategy.

~Key Genesis liason to Corporate Planning; collaborate with Research, Product Planning, Pricing, Corporate Strategy, etc.

~Collaborate with Product Planning on vehicle development. Provide GMA input on features, design, and packaging.

~Work with Genesis team in Korea to ensure good communication and collaboration on key initiatives.

~Market Research: work closely with Research to develop consumer research initiatives that s support launch strategy development and overall GMA objectives. Ensure key insights are utilized in developing launch/lifecycle strategies.

~Work closely with Genesis Sales team to ensure ordering and incentive strategies align with overall brand objectives.

~Become GMA s go-to resource on product and strategic issues.

~Pricing: Work with Pricing to ensure appropriate price position to support sales objectives. Outreach to ALG to support highest possible residuals.

~Support for all strategy/planning in Genesis such as dealer development strategy and brand positioning.

~Oversee development of GMA scorecard that includes key metrics related to sales, customer service, image, etc.

~Support GMA executives by leading projects related to overall strategic efforts to establish and advance the Genesis brand.

~Training: oversee development of Genesis product training materials, and work with other departments and business partners on overall training strategy.

Education:

~ Bachelor s degree preferred.

~ MBA is a plus

Related Experience:

~ At least 10 years automotive experience, ideally in Product Planning, Marketing, Market Research, or Corporate Strategy

~Excellent communication and collaboration skills

~Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly luxury brands

~Supervisory experience strongly preferred

Skill/Knowledge:

~ Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

~ Strong orgranizational and team leadership skills.

~ Effective communciation and presentation

~ Extremely strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

~ Ability to analyze, organize, and present data effectively to executive management and HMC.

~ A passion for products and following / understanding competitors strategies
