As the Head of Institutional Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and driving the agenda, strategies and programs for digital marketing, digital experiences and digital engagement within Institutional Marketing. One part visionary and two parts programmatic marketing you will define the pathways for how our customers and prospects learn, consume content and engage in new ways with our products, services and thought leadership. The programs and communications rails that you define will be part of the marketing and communications infrastructure that our audience and product marketing teams will use to deliver relevant content.
In this role you will
Lead our Institutional (B2B) business advertising efforts. Optimize spend and efficiency of advertising through quantitative and qualitative analysis. Create long-term strategic advertising plan by evaluating competitive, technological, and market environment in conjunction with business goals.
Partner closely with advertising agency to develop effective creative content, digital and media buy strategy, ad placement, and overall strategy. Oversee relationship with advertising agency to ensure exceptional quality, service, and efficiency. Periodically review relationship and possibility for RFP.
Shape thought leadership and content marketing strategy, including close collaboration with internal research groups such as ISG, The Center for Investor Research, and PRD. Translate thought leadership into content that drives business growth.
Oversee a coordinated communication agenda across the firm website, Vanguard mobile applications, social media, digital newsletters, and print communications. Set standards for the use of communications channels to ensure optimal distribution of content. Evaluate emerging communications channels and technologies to assess their potential use.

What it takes.
Undergraduate degree. MBA or Masters in Marketing or Communications preferred.
Minimum eight years general experience and eight years related marketing experience.
Management experience.
Experience in managing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns preferred.
Solid organizations skills and ability to work across multiple functions.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Proven ability to lead teams.
Demonstrated initiative self-starting.
Experience in managing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns preferred.
Experience with LEAN and Agile marketing methodologies.
