As an Account Executive on the Food Service Operator Sales Team, youll be the face of Kellogg, and will be responsible for engaging in selling activities and strategies with our Healthcare, B&I, and C&U operators. Were looking for someone in this role who can Snap, Crackle and SELL to this complex account base, which includes our top 150 accounts in the given market.   • Lead Sales Efforts - While considering immediate and long-term outcomes, youll promote a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements and expectations, while developing and executing local and national sales plans for top tier Away From Home accounts within your assigned market. We're hoping you can take a new angle on what otherwise might be ordinary.
  • Make a Whole Lotta Strategic Decisions - As a valued part of our team, were looking to you to initiate and manage operator trade agreements to ensure best return on investment and category margin improvement. Additionally, youll optimize cross-channel opportunities across 750+ SKUs and 13 product categories while driving sales through product, placement, mix and consumption activities.   • Stop, Collaborate and Listen - Youll actively engage internally with National and Key Account Executives, as well as establish solid communication with the Kellogg Distributor Key Account Executives and local broker representatives for problem solving and proactive planning. Not to mention, youll bring your crazy good collaboration to all top level customers to include Vice President(s) of Healthcare Marketing, Customer Region Manager(s), Executive Chef(s), Foodservice Director(s), and Food and Beverage Director(s).
  • Ensure Accuracy - Help us bring the best to families each day. You'll reinforce our passion for the future, with the practical steps to get there. You will play a key role in reporting and updating account activity in customer relationship management tools, to include: sales forecast, program placement, and call activity.

    Required:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Frequently demonstrated sales experience
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans with a focus on customer communication and account penetration
  • Experience managing trade dollars within assigned budgets
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex business issues and provide solutions with our offerings
  • Ability and desire to work independently in the absence of a direct supervisor.
  • Effective written and oral communication, track record of success
  • Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months
  • Bonus Points:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years experience in successful field based sales, territory sales, account management within foodservice industry
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, Tibersoft and Salesforce.com
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • The ability to travel up to 70% of the time
