Accountable for all content marketing initiatives in order to drive traffic, engagement, leads, and conversions for clients and for The Company.
Collaborates across functions and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives.
Determines appropriate content marketing topics based in research and SEO strategy.
Creates and edits content and works with graphic designer to create visual content.
Creates brand-centric, client-valued content to optimize engagement.
Consistently generates high quality content on a daily basis.
Ensures that all content complies with brand guidelines, is focused on target markets, is optimized for search and supports the editorial calendar.
Regularly measures and analyzes campaign effectiveness and make appropriate recommendations.
Continually monitors industry conversations and trends to identify opportunities to build upon them from an angle supportive of goals.
Works with clients to create and contribute outstanding bylined blog content.
Builds upon and extensively repurposes content generated in other marketing channels.
Manages SEO content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement and ensures content is consistent with clients brand voice, style and tone.
Manages content editorial calendars and various distribution hubs including blogs/websites (WordPress and custom platforms), email (vertical response), social media (on platforms and through scheduling tools including Hootsuite and CoSchedule). This person must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, including what kinds of content and approaches work best on each, and why.
Handles measurement and optimization.
Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, journalism or relevant field.
4-6 years of experience in content marketing, ideally B2B, and some journalism experience (legal industry experience a plus).
A demonstrable history of creating effective content marketing strategies.
Outstanding writing ability and understanding of business generally, and B2B sales, specifically. Legal industry experience a plus.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of AP Style.
Strategic thinker, self-starter and motivated.
Ability to work in The Company office (must have own transportation), at clients sites within commuting distance (on occasion) and from home.
Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, CoSchedule, Basecamp, Slack, and the top social channels preferred.
The ideal candidate must possess project management skills and understand how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment while focusing on the delivery of results in the form of engagement.
