Director, Marketing - Acute Care(

Description
We have an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing based in our Northfield, IL headquarters. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working marketing professional with a \"roll-up your sleeves\" attitude and the ability to work independently and prioritize issues. Reporting to the Vice President-Marketing in the Acute Care segment, this key role is responsible for providing marketing direction, guidance and leadership to product divisions and sales teams for Vascular Access, Urology and Decolonization.
Key responsibilities include:
PARTNER WITH DIVISIONS & SALES TO COALESCE STRATEGY
Partner with sales and the product divisions to lead the development and implement of clear marketing strategies that are consistent with Medline's vascular access, urological and decolonization business goals. Ensure strategic alignment amongst all stakeholders. Provide marketing guidance and direction to product divisions on solution and product positioning, messaging and development of sales tools.
CONDUCT MARKET RESEARCH
Conduct market research via field insights, advisory boards, focus groups, surveys and other research channels. Analyze and share key findings with sales, product divisions, and marketing to promote alignment on messaging product planning and marketing strategy. Use insights to develop market expertise to further define Medline's look and position in the market place, build networks of thought leadership, partner with industry organizations, and advertise to enhance market representation.
BUILD INTEGRATED MARKETING PLANS
Use market research and stakeholder collaboration to build 1-3 year integrated marketing plans that include, but aren't limited to advertising campaigns, live events, sales tool development, sharing of success stories via case studies and white papers, PR, tradeshows, and clinical solution development which includes working with the clinical teams to develop onsite, online, train-the-trainer and patient education. Ensure strategies and tactics optimize the return on investment while meeting the needs of the markets and customers served. Analyze budgets and financials for all measureable marketing tactics to identifying areas of opportunity and growth versus areas / activities that are not producing results. Provide ongoing analysis based on plan performance.
ORGANIZE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL LIVE EVENTS
Partner with sales to run annual critical care sales incentive program, sales meeting and any necessary boot camp trainings. Identify and lead live events with customer audiences including dinner programs, symposiums, workshops and customer visits. Suggest relevant content and propose engaging speakers to deliver on the goals of the event. Oversee the program's logistics and determine communication streams to effectively engage the appropriate audiences and share insights.
PRESENT INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY
Produce and deliver high quality, interactive customer presentations that highlight Medline's capabilities in vascular access, urology and decolonization.
Produce and deliver high quality, interactive internal presentations that share key market and customer insights as well as key promotional strategies.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Use market and customer insights as well as sales and division partnerships to continue to develop our ERASE BSI and ERASE CAUTI programs. Oversee the discovery assessment process, program pipeline, implementation, sustainability efforts, gain / risk share agreements and work with sales to maximize the value of clinical business reviews to drive sustainability and identify opportunities to build a roadmap with customers.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing related field; MBA in Marketing preferred
* At least 8 years of marketing experience (ex. marketing plans, promotions, trade shows and other marketing/sales strategies); marketing experience in healthcare industry preferred
* At least 4 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
* Experience understanding customer needs/priorities and skills to use that insight to develop innovative and effective marketing programs that generate sales
* Experience understanding customer needs/priorities and skills to use that insight to develop innovative and effective marketing programs that generate sales
* Previous experience working with data mining programs (i.e. Sales Menu, Business Objects, etc.).
* Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within, and external to, an organization
* Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
* Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
