Job Title: Process Solutions Gene Therapy Segment Marketing Communications Manager

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Gene Therapy Segment Marketing Communications Manager to develop concepts and solutions through, services and application data for focused market segments. This individual will create a common segment marcom strategy and program. Reporting to the Process Solutions Services Marketing Communications Manager, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing concepts and integrated multichannel communications strategies with measurements in place to track and report performance. She/He will work within a cross-functional network as a contributor, leading voice of customer efforts in collaboration with marketing franchises, R&D, sales, and applications teams.

Your role:

He/she will propose, develop, manage, execute, and evaluate global gene therapy marketing communications campaigns to drive thought leadership and promotional tactics that build awareness, educate, generate and nurture leads. Integrated campaign channels are comprised of (and not limited to): Digital (web content, SEO and SEM), marketing automation, apps, social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube), Tradeshows & Events, Media Relations, Collateral, and Paid Media (advertising). The ultimate objective is to build awareness, educate and leverage our thought leaders as well as generate qualified leads for Process Solutions Services gene therapy offering. Responsibilities for this position include results measurement and the ability to adjust tactics for continued success.

  • Develop and execute marketing communications plans and campaigns for gene therapy segment opportunities
  • Develop regional customer events/seminars (define event theme, objectives and metrics,)
  • Understand the voice of customer in order to contribute to the development of a gene therapy go-to-market strategy
  • Critically review progress against plan to continuously assess success via KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts (Sales, Finance, DS, Functional Marcom) in the development and implementation of marketing communication programs

  • Self-motivated and positive outlook: Has a strong desire to drive for / deliver exceptional results, looks for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in a technical or scientific field
  • Understand/experience in the gene therapy /life science sector
  • 5+ years of experience in pharma/biopharm/life science sector
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in B2B marketing communication in a matrixed and international environment
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated flexibility and team player approach
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn specific applications related to the role
  • Must be willing and able to travel 20%
