Job Responsibilities

Description/Comment: GENERAL FUNCTION:

Partner with and serve as a resource to management to promote positive associate relations that support client HR strategy, including but not limited to: interpretation of company policies, address associate performance issues, identify resources to support managements HR needs, counsel management regarding their responsibilities, support compliance efforts and coach on changes in relevant laws/regulations.

Consult and investigate associate open door concerns and bring resolution to the associates concerns in a timely manner.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide exceptional customer service to managers and associates via telephone and e-mail communication. This includes responding to caller inquiries quickly, completely, and professionally. Educate/ managers by providing consultation and coaching regarding: policy interpretation, associate behavior, performance management and associate development.


Assist managers with diagnosing and resolving issues through proper questioning techniques and risk assessment. Ability to understand and apply Company policy/procedure and applicable law, to consult with managers on best practices that reduces the risk of the Company, builds a positive work environment for the associates and supports the Companies HR strategy.

Accountable for identification, prioritizing, and issue resolution/escalation within established timelines. When necessary, conduct investigations in partnership with HR Business Partners and Associate Relations Center of Expertise.

Coach and consult with store managers in writing and delivering feedback in a manner that will motivate associates to improve while also providing solid documentation for terminations if needed. This includes review and consultation of corrective action documentation and development of appropriate performance improvement plans. Leverage exceptional active listening skills to issue spot and asking appropriate follow up probing questions. Handles complex and emotionally charged issues with composure by addressing the situation objectively, remaining unbiased.

Recommend policy revisions based on current store trends, legal changes, and required clarifications. Provide support to positive Associate Relations through proactive oriented projects and initiatives. Effectively utilize computer systems to capture issue details without effective biases (facts only); investigate prior issues and resolutions; and pull data for risk assessments and trends. Identify, compile, and analyze relevant HR trend data, prepare reports, and present conclusions.

Educate managers on proper training for associates, including required training for HR compliance.

Effectively identifies when issue needs to be escalated to include additional management and cross functional partners.

Partner closely with Asset Protection to gain knowledge of store compliance and support corrective actions and terminations.

Conduct Exit Interviews.

Additional Job Details: BACKFILL: I need someone with Data Entry experience mostly, and that can type well. They will mostly be working with me in my office and in my office while I am traveling. I do need them to audit and do filing as well. Admin skills/Office clerk Customer facing Team player
