JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President, Sales and Account Management is responsible for leading, planning, developing, and directing all aspects of sales and account management for MultiPlan's Government market segment. This segment is a specified book of business comprised mostly of regional and national health plan relationships. MultiPlan supports health plans in Medicaid, Medicare, Veteran's Affairs and TRICARE programs. MultiPlan's target market for client growth and retention in this segment is as a subcontractor to these health plans. This position is responsible for strategic direction, growth implementation oversight, client relationships, and is an integral leader and team member of the Government Business Unit within MultiPlan. In addition, this job is also responsible for providing the type of leadership, management, and vision necessary to achieve short and long range revenue growth and client retention strategies to grow this market segment, as well as, ensuring its financial strength, operating efficiency, and client performance commitments in the government sector.. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:. 1. Achieve annual revenue target. 2. Develop, implement and oversee strategy for revenue growth and retention, overall customer satisfaction, and increased market share within the government market segment (Medicare, Medicaid, VA and TRICARE). This includes the development, implementation, and oversight of the strategies for expanding the relationship with health plan customers through the sale of additional Company products and services related to Government Programs.. 3. Direct and collaborate marketing strategies to ensure the achievement of revenue growth and sales initiatives, including the development of pricing in coordination with management.. 4. Develop and actualize a sales plan to meet or exceed the annual revenue target for the assigned book of business.. 5. Work in close collaboration with Management to achieve stated team goals and ensure delivery of superior client service.. 6. Serve as a subject matter expert to management for Government Markets related to MultiPlan's business.. 7. Lead negotiations and oversight of client contracts and amendments in coordination with management as necessary.. 8. Direct, coach, select, develop, train and evaluate account management staff in their efforts to meet the teams strategic revenue goal.. 9. Work with Account Management team in the creation and development of specific client strategies. Participate in monthly or quarterly client meetings.. 10. Identify new clients and upsell current services to existing clients through the implementation of an annual sales plan.. 11. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.. 12. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Health, Communications, or related field, MBA preferred.. Minimum 10 years of experience in managed care with a focus on government segments.. Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, or Veteran's Affairs Health. Administration programs required.. Experience in business or client development or Account Management required.. Experience in budgeting, formulating and implementing business and action plans. Creative prospecting and discovery. Knowledge and understanding of customer business, product, and market strategies. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, strategic leadership, communication (verbal and written), people management, project management, task management, decision-making, business acumen, analytical, negotiation, persuasion, organization, presentation and prioritization skills. Ability to use computer software, hardware, and peripherals applicable to role including MS Office Suites, SalesForce, database software, and advanced reporting techniques..
