Job Description

The Network/Communications Administrator Provides IT support in communications and network systems and system architecture. Designs, implements and maintains computer network and communication systems. Specifies hardware and software to implement system requirements. Establishes network configuration standards, Standard Operating Procedures and network monitoring tools utilized by network administrators and support personnel.
Job Requirements
Advanced:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience; or
Master s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience
Senior:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years relevant experience; or
Master s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience
Job Preferred Skills
The Academic Computing Resources organization is responsible for the all aspects of the computer networks utilized at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. This includes design of the network, selection of components, installation and configuration of the components. The group also is responsible for installation and setup of COTS software. The organization establishes the cyber security controls and routinely monitors the network to ensure the network is functioning as designed. The successful candidate will work in a technically diverse and dynamic environment with a team for support of the IT environment used for training the Navy. The successful candidate will be involved in in multiple aspects of supporting and managing the network and cyber security program.
