We are seeking a self-motivated, hands-on domain expert to join us as Application Analyst Lead.
You will be a key member of the IT Global Quality, Manufacturing, and Order to Delivery team and interface directly with the technology, Manufacturing, and Order to Delivery teams.
The Applications Analyst, Lead designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains more complex programming applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. This position may oversee the work of other Application Analysts. Will help define system and application designs and translates them from functional business requirements into technical specifications. You ll develop application and technology roadmaps, vendor relationships for existing and new software, enhance functionality and uptime of existing legacy applications, and become subject matter expert in the Order to Delivery domain.
The Applications Analyst, Lead devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Remains involved throughout a project s lifecycle with a team of business analyst, system experts and development teams to ensure that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business. The Applications Analyst, Lead has extensive knowledge of the technical environment and is considered an expert in designing innovative, scalable and integrated system solutions.
Key accountabilities of this challenging and critical role include:
Leads major IT projects through to implementation
Leads major IT incidents through to resolution
Leads Problem Management efforts to drive to Root Cause
Proactively works with business units to understand and document requirements for new and existing applications
Proactively drives for continuous process improvement
Defines application and technology roadmaps
Mentors and trains other team members
Provides Service Level Reports and provides status updates on projects
Drives for the reduction of Application downtime
Works with external suppliers on new projects and support issues
Participates in performance evaluations as needed
Become subject matter expert with in our domain
Position Purpose and Requirements
Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
Bachelor s degree and at least 5 years of applications analysis experience
Master s degree and at least 3 years of applications analysis experience
At least 7 years of applications analysis experience

Technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, architecture, configuration and protocol
Experience with application upgrades and troubleshooting application issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills often entailing diagnosing and resolving complex or unusual issues
Sound judgment and reasoning skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including strong presentation skills; prepares and presents effective and persuasive materials to medium and large diverse groups
Ability to prepare and present information and technically oriented material to medium and large groups
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, Visio)
Knowledge of development methodologies including working with an offshore model for development and support
Able to prioritize objectives, set personal goals and complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining focus between tasks
Explores innovative solutions while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction
Develops positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, and is able to influence decisions at the business unit level
Ability to both facilitate and actively participate in meetings with representatives from multiple business and/or IT units
Experience implementing and/or integrating IT systems utilizing project management, technical analysis, or business analysis processes
Experienced in developing and executing medium to large scale plans for projects or budgeted plans
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve complex or unusual problems
Capable of leading large, diverse groups through significant and challenging issues, including budgetary controls
Demonstrates strong time management, organizational, & administrative skills
Familiar with SDLC lifecycle and creating SDLC documentation
Experience with VMS
Experience with database technologies such as Oracle RDB, SQL Server, and Oracle
Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a plus
