Are you ready? The PositionSets strategic direction and business plans across obesity portfolio. Leads the development and implementation of Healthcare Professional (HCP) Marketing strategy and tactical planning for the obesity product portfolio. In coordination with headquarters, develops and implements pre-launch plans in order to maximize revenue, market share and profitability goals. Participates on cross-functional and global Extended Brand Teams, leads the US Obesity HCP Personal Promotion Team and interacts extensively with other functions within Novo Nordisk. Co-leads field sales/marketing integration with commercial execution to ensure alignment in execution, measurement, and advancement in broadening HCP engagement in Obesity. RelationshipsReports to Senior Director, HCP Obesity Marketing. Works closely with other Marketing Leads. Works in close collaboration with other departments such as Field Commercial Trade and Government, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal and participates on global teams for designated product portfolio. External relationships include key thought leaders and professional services vendors. Essential Functions Provides leadership oversight in ensuring the alignment of market development/brand tactics to drive business objectives. Develops and encourages innovative strategies to maximize market development/brand objectives Establishes and implements key metrics to track and communicate value/impact of market development/brand initiatives to stakeholders Leads development and execution of the US HCP strategy and tactics across market development/brand efforts. Contributes to the Global Brand Life Cycle Business Plan development on behalf of the US Provides leadership to HCP team (hiring, staffing, retaining team) Develops and executes pre-launch and launch strategic and tactical brand plans. Oversees the development of personal HCP promotional materials; ensures alignment of market development/brand positioning, messaging and objectives Develops and implements pre-marketing strategies and marketing thought-leader relationships and involvement Develops and presents business plans for endorsement Works closely with field commercial teams/leadership to ensure marketing programs that are developed strongly support their needs with customers and drive return on investment (ROI) Works with Global Marketing and Medical team in identifying marketing strategies for designated market/product for the US Serves as an advocate for the US marketing initiatives with global marketing Develops relationships with and receives commitment from relevant NNI and NNAS departments to ensure the successful execution of strategies Maximizes revenue and profitability. Understands return on investment (ROI) concepts to ensure program effectiveness Understands the market and develops accurate sales projections/forecasts for designated product portfolio Addresses competitive obstacles to ensure brand portfolio/NNI success Develops and monitors performance against budget Evaluates appropriate use of resources to ensure attainment of profitability goals Physical Requirements30-40% overnight travel required. Development of PeopleEnsure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. MBA or advanced degree preferred Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience within sales, brand marketing within the pharmaceutical industry required Five (5) years of chronic disease marketing experience required Ability to manage complexity Proven track record in collaboration required Prior management experience required with a proven track record of development and coaching Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace including medical, regulatory and clinical processes Successful launch experience in a marketing role preferred Novo Nordisk is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
