Phosphorus is a clinical genomics company working to improve human health. Our main product, PhosphorusONE, is the most comprehensive and cost-effective genetic test to help patients identify and prevent genetic disease before it happens. The PhosphorusONE test fully sequences over 400 genes that can cause cancer, heart disease, infertility, vision loss, hearing loss, neurodegenerative conditions and more. Position Description We are looking for a seasoned VP of Marketing and Medical Affairs to join our growing team and take ownership of all aspects of our marketing, product strategy and communications. This is a leadership team position, and we are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about changing the way genetics is practiced in medicine. About You You have senior leadership experience in marketing and/or medical affairs and have helped to conceive, build, and commercialize clinical diagnostics and genetic tests in the past. Specifically we are looking for individuals with: 5+ Years in a senior commercial leadership position (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Product) Advanced Degree in Genetics, Genomics or related fields (Genetic Counseling, Bioinformatics, Genetics) Experience building, managing and developing a team Deep expertise and strong opinions on product marketing for a physician audience A drive to not just set strategy but also to directly engage with customers in the process of commercializing our technology Experience managing Public Relations and media strategy for an organization Experience building and managing a medical affairs program - from recruitment of thought leaders to the development of clinical study opportunities Familiarity with social media both organic and paid strategies for developing brand and acquiring customers A desire to build a world where the 1 in 6 people who carry a severe genetic mutation are able to prevent disease Job Responsibilities Marketing Strategy: You will be responsible for setting the high-level marketing strategy of the company. This includes how to position products, what materials to create, and how to streamline our messaging. Ongoing Product Development: You will work hand in hand with our R&D team to continue to drive improvements in our informatics and diagnostics products. Sales Training and Support: You will lead the development of Product Marketing tools and Sales Training materials to aid our team in the field. Medical Affairs: You will oversee our medical conference strategies, including where we attend, exhibit and submit scientific publications. You will also oversee the development of our Medical Advisory board and annual meeting. Social / Performance Marketing: You will manage our paid and organic social marketing and ensure that we are able to measure and improve our ability to build our brand and reach customers through these channels. Public Relations: You will help to manage our media strategy, press releases, deal with journalists and our PR firm as we continue to drive our message of Preventative Genomics forward.
