If the answers to these questions are yes then we want to hear from YOU As the Senior Communications Leader for the Pistoia Alliance, you will serve as a key member of the Pistoia operational Leadership team. In This Role You Will Be aligned to Pistoia colleagues to create and deliver unified, cohesive messaging globally across all projects and activities. Play a role in conducting multichannel media outreach for Pistoia milestones and selected projects supporting the Pistoia Alliance mission. Support communications and marketing thought leadership strategy and communications execution. Flex as a hybrid content generator across comms needs for Pistoia milestones Provide strategic, communications business support to Pistoia functions, as needed Additional Responsibilities You will develop & execute communications strategies in support of science and technology for the Pistoia Alliance group; Help create & execute multichannel and social media campaigns. Manage the approval processes of content for media relations (press releases, Q&A, reactive statements) and social media posting e.g. Pistoia social priorities, video. Support the development and execution of thought leadership strategy, which may include external Pistoia spokespeople social media presence (eg. LinkedIn) and external speaking events/appearances with content and message development. You will manage an editorial and content calendar to ensure smooth timelines for development, approval and posting in concert with Pistoia colleagues including projects. With the Pistoia operations team, you will ensure effective programming and pull-through of key communications campaigns for audiences Identify, partner and liaise with the communications services that provides communications team members on developing content (eg videos, photo essays, partner testimonials) Cultivate and build strong, positive relationships with Pistoia team members, Pistoia Alliance members internal and external communications teams & key stakeholders and with communications partners Help manage external agency partners, including PR agencies Act as a role model for Pistoia values and expectations Basic Qualifications Extensive communications related experience, including demonstrated expertise in at least three of the following areas: Excellent communications track-record, especially experience in new media (e.g. video, digital, storytelling/infographics) Pharmaceutical knowledge, preferably early research science and technology-based R&D approaches Brand, culture and engagement work Not-for-profit or membership based organisations Patient advocacy and consumer engagement Launch and/or communications planning and execution Strong interpersonal skills with multiple and diverse stakeholders Strategic and creative thinker who knows how to construct compelling stories that will resonate with both internal/external audiences and can manage a deliberate development process, including strong project management skills Proven experience developing content across a range of platforms and media (digital-friendly, visual/storytelling style, such as videos and infographics); versatility in creating both branded and unbranded content and willingness to innovate Good knowledge, insight and understanding of the Life Sciences R&D space and operating environment. Proven ability to influence colleagues and senior leaders across organisations The ability to utilise channels for business benefit within resource limits Delegate effectively and manage 3rd parties to deliver Motivate and lead in a multi-disciplinary, multi-faceted business Preferred Qualifications Prior agency experience working on complex announcements/relevant campaigns, projects preferred.
