The Product Analyst work closely with the product management team to provide analytical support on existing products, conducting market research and reporting on segment initiatives. Reporting to the Business and Market Analyst, this role assists in defining data collection and analysis processes and delivering timely & accurate delivery of reports & analysis to meet business needs. This analysis will aid in growing the sales and profitability of the group, and will assist in NPD process
+ Identify trends and opportunities by analyzing both structured and unstructured data
+ Develop and maintain reports & dashboards used by product managers and pricing
+ Collaborate with sales and product management to provide key inputs for NPD process and planning
+ Support internal stakeholders with product technical expertise including product training, documentation and content;
+ Working with the Business and Market analyst, input into the development of the product roadmap and market trend analysis.
New Product Analysis
+ Tracks sales and profitability of new products against targets provided in the business justification report and recommends potential growth areas during post launch review
+ Assists in the development of business case in NPD process
Market / Segment Analysis
+ Assisting in the development of customer segmentation plans and analysis
+ Analyzing customer sales by product hierarchy
+ Proactively identify market trends to product management team
This position has responsibility to conduct detailed analysis and provide recommendations to advance the business. The product analyst is involved in all aspects of the marketing department, including new products, modifications or terminations of underperforming products, market segmentation, and tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. It's important for this person to be fully capable of conducting financial analysis and delivering recommendations with justifications.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERTISE
+ 2 years of marketing/ financial analysis experience required
+ Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is required
+ Experience with and understanding of market segmentation and product positioning
+ Comfortable with ambiguity; does not require a high degree of structure.
+ Self-starter, self-motivated and a team player.
+ Must have the ability to work effectively and positively with all organizational levels
+ Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
+ Excellent computer skills / applications usage such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
+ SAP experience a plus
