Job Summary

SHI has an exciting opportunity within the Software & Licensing department as a Presales Partner Specialist. The Presales IBM Partner Specialist will be supporting our IBM software business at SHI as a subject matter expert. They will support SHI's sales organizations and our partner account managers to maintain and grow the IBM software business at SHI. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Software & Licensing, a knowledge about their potential partner, good organization and an eagerness to learn new information daily. In this role you will work with not only Software & Licensing, but also Hardware, Contracts, Marketing, Purchasing, and Sales. Responsibilities/Job Function

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Evangelize and Promote IBM software within SHI Demonstrate a clear understanding of IBM software product portfolio and be able to articulate, position and make recommendations based on a customer needs and usage scenarios. Maintain an understanding of IBM software technology offerings and overall position within the IT landscape Serve as one of the primary contacts with respect to IBM software within SHI to answer general product and program questions including but not limited to IBM products, licensing models, deal registration, rules of engagement and order resolution Maintain and further build the relationship with the IBM Channel and Distribution Tea Manage the team box for IBM software within our SLAs Submit and manage deal registrations for IBM software Manage the Quarter End Deal Tracker for IBM software on month/quarter ends Maintain IBM software pipeline tracking open deals and communicate regularly with IBM, Arrow, and SHI Sales to ensure forecast accuracy Help find new sales opportunities through all available sources (reporting, account mapping, product displacement, etc.) Contribute content to the Software & Licensing Newsletter Review opportunities to drive profitability and ensure that SHI is receiving all eligible margin incentives on a deal- ie: deal registration, manufacturer promotions, etc. Engage with SHI and IBM sales teams to build and maintain relationships while driving key initiatives Lead and put together IBM software webinars on an agreed upon cadence (if applicable) Keep current on all IBM software trainings, programs, program changes, and products Maintain MYSHI Partner page and all relevant conten Participate in relevant industry and IBM events Contribute to the development and implementation of Marketing Activities Collaborate with IBM and Marketing to assist on Driving Attendance and Executing Marketing Events Help to educate on IBM software products and programs as well as how customers can benefit by using their core products Lead and participate on joint customer calls with Sales and assist in qualifying and identify new opportunities for IBM Be one of the main points of contact for Order Resolution Issues Contribute and participate in IBM Quarterly Business Reviews Meet (and exceed) IBM business objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required
