This position is responsible for Global Communications (PR, Communications, Social Media and Brand Cause) and all US Communications activations. The VP of Global Communications is responsible for captivating and engaging an audience of millions with Laura Mercier brand and product stories. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving innovative PR, communications, influencer relations, and philanthropy initiatives to propel distinguished brand recognition, maximize media and influencer growth and contribute to high engagement and brand adoption, as well as develop awareness and relevance with a younger, more ethnically diverse customer, globally. Develop compelling strategies to achieve substantial media and social coverage and craft effective communication plans to reach and capture International audiences. Manage a team of 6 structured in 2 poles: 1 focused on classic & digital PR global guidelines and US activations + brand ambassador(s) 1 focused on influencer marketing global guidelines and US activations Essential Job Duties Oversee all aspects of communications on a global & US level including: Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Influencer Marketing, Celebrity Relations and Philanthropy. Generate and secure creative ideas for collaborations and partnerships and participate as active decision maker in conceptualization, execution and development for strategic branding initiatives. Continue to increase brand awareness and relevance on social media through increased earned media efforts (objective: top 10 EMV global brand in 2019 and beyond) Direct and advise international teams to ensure relevant media coverage across all key markets. Lead the PR process, risk assessment, identify key concerns, and address issues with informed communication strategies. Oversee all communications efforts in all subsidiaries to control accuracy, consistency and brand messaging. Develop and implement press tools, kits and strategies to be used globally to reinforce and strengthen consistent brand image and messaging. Interface extensively with internal counterparts in the marketing, sales, training and creative services departments to collaborate on overall company objectives and key messaging.
