Job Description

The Market Development Manager is responsible for working with customers and the sales team to drive revenue within specific vertical markets, focused on specific products and security solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with existing customers to educate them on new technologies available in the security market and sell new solutions to existing customer base
  • Grow existing customer base by identifying key opportunities and establishing relationships that will generate revenue
  • Work directly with existing security sales team to target high opportunity customers and sell new products and solutions
  • Guide customers toward establishing a base and understanding of their security needs
  • Facilitate meetings between customers and 3rd party vendors
  • Attend industry related conferences with the possibility of giving presentations
  • Maintain customer relationships from start of project through installation
  • Make sure customers are in compliance with the government and/or other regulatory agencies on data such as reporting crime statistics
  • Meet with customers prior to products being sold to discuss their existing security standards and educate them on industry best practices
  • Proactively look for new business and be prepared to recommend additional security coverage
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Sales, Marketing, or other Business-related degree or 10 + years industry sales experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 7 years of a combination of financial industry sales experience, managing national accounts, or sales leadership within a large corporation
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Ability to communicate with banking executives at all levels including C-suite
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territory
  • Background in IT/networking
  • Security industry knowledge
  • Experience using SBN, COGNOS, and SAP
