DC Frayis the largest active lifestyle community for young adults in DC.

We organize social sports leagues, special events, and cover the coolest things to do in DC on oursocial media accounts and #FrayLife Blog.

From Kickball leagues to tubing trips and bar crawls to weekly event info, our only mission is to make fun possible in DC for young adults who want to live a fun, active, social lifestyle.

We have over a decade of experience creating incredible experiences for our members and strong relationships with our partners, thanks to our amazing team of individuals witheclectic backgrounds in marketing, sports management, community development, business administration, and event planning.

As a Digital Media intern at DC Fray, you'll report to the Director of Media and have the opportunity to gethands-on experience increating and promoting our awesome content. You'll also get personalmentorshipand access to awesome perks that most other internships just aren t able to provide.

Here's all you need to know:


  • Create and manage content for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Write content for the #FrayLife blog/emails & edit contributor articles
  • Promote content through paid social media ads (get trained by an expert!)
  • Assist with content planning, PR outreach, research assignments, and reporting projects
  • Other duties as necessary
  • Qualifications:

  • Passion and understanding for the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, entrepreneurialhustle, and desire to get better every day
  • Available to work 20+ hours per week (full-time, 40 hours is ideal)
  • Preferred Work Experience:

  • Communications/Media/PR/Marketing background
  • Professional use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, CoSchedule, and MailChimp
  • Video/Photo editing experience
  • Duration of the internship:

  • Flexible (start date also flexible)
  • Evenings and/or weekend work on occasion
  • Compensation:

  • $185 monthly stipend
  • College credit available
