Overview

Urban Outfitters seeks an experienced email segmentation analyst that will develop and execute email campaigns, and execute customer segmentation based on contact strategy criteria, and participate in a collaborative process to continuously improve marketing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email marketing technical and operational strategies in support of broader company objectives; to include hands on execution of customer promotional emails and triggered life cycle marketing campaigns using Unica.
  • Execute weekly and monthly email campaign reporting and present results weekly to web merchants and brand marketing teams
  • Utilize ad-hoc SQL to uncover trends and enhance targeted marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the maintenance and evolution of email campaign templates, lists, data feeds and interfaces
  • Focus on efficient processes and uncovering insights from the data analytics
  • Work closely with customer analytics and CRM IT teams to utilize analyses of email campaigns and trends to make recommendations for enhancing email effectiveness through audience segmentation, messaging direction, and contact frequency
  • Actively collaborate with the other members of the organization to enable the customer-focused marketing strategy
  • Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of E-mail Marketing best practices and email metrics
  • Experience working with large customer databases and writing SQL
  • Experience using industry standard segmentation tools (Unica a plus, Alterian, Aprimo etc.)
  • Proficient in excel
  • Strong analytic and business acumen
  • B.S. in marketing or ecommerce related field
  • Prior Retail experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with other areas of the company, and external vendors.
  • Education

    Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Ecommerce, or Business.
