Purpose of Job

ServiceNow Developer Mid-Level

We are currently seeking a mid-level ServiceNow Developer - Phoenix, AZ. This role will assist with various ServiceNow development efforts, with a strong emphasis on reporting, dashboard creation, building templates, and building out our service catalogs. The team that you would be joining is a small team of reporting analyst and ServiceNow developers, who are actively pursuing opportunities to leverage ServiceNow to provide meaningful and accurate reporting. Engaged in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle which include; gathering and analyzing requirements, designing, testing, documenting and implementing software, responding to outages. Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensure these risks are effectively identified and escalated to be measured, monitored and controlled.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate and oversee all aspects of the SDLC lifecycle on development activities.
  • Create change requests for development activities.
  • Maintain and improve existing ServiceNow scoped apps.
  • Manage and track project efforts though Agile methodologies.
  • Auditing Wiki and knowledge bases.
  • Requirements gatherings, planning, developing and deploying solutions within ServiceNow.
  • May lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning at a team level.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions collaborating with senior engineers.
  • May begin to organize work and lead team in focused efforts to deliver features and solutions.
  • May begin mentoring junior engineers.
  • Regular analysis and creation of reports to validate data accuracy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required in lieu of a degree.
    4 or more years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within ITIL Processes, Configuration Management, or Software Development
  • 2+ years of working experience with the ITIL Framework (Incident, Change, Problem, etc)
  • 2+ years of experience building reports and dashboards within ServiceNow.
  • 1+ year developing scoped apps and building workflow within ServiceNow.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow experience deploying applications, building out catalog items/workflows, and configuring integrations.
  • ServiceNow CSA Certification
  • ServiceNow Application Developer Certification
  • ServiceNow Performance Analytics Certification
  • ITIL v4 or v3 Foundations Certification
  • Agile/Scrum/Safe Certifications
  • Experience building and maintaining CMDBs in ServiceNow
  • Experience in Tableau
