Purpose:

Xerox is in the midst of its biggest transformation, transforming from a printer company to one that is increasingly providing software and services and investing in new print and related technologies. The company s new leadership team and its focus is creating a dynamic environment that will allow the right employee to work on a myriad of topics and issues. Given all the change in the company, communicating regularly with the public and employees globally are critical to renewing Xerox s history of innovation and community.

The role will lead an editorial team that will identify and develop compelling stories from Xerox and our partners to bring the company, its strategy and people to life both internally and externally. The story will originate from input gathered by the executives, and how their work/teams will drive the transformation of the company. It will work, in partnership, with key executives to share the revenue growth stories. The role reports directly to the Chief Communications Officer and would provide content to Marketing, Employee Engagement and External Relations teams. This position would ideally be based in Norwalk, CT, NYC or Silicon Valley; other locations can be considered depending on the candidate.

The Chief Storyteller is a key role to define the strategy and key messages that underpin the development and implementation of the overall Xerox corporate strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

Thought leader who translates strategy and creates vision and direction for organization. Can envision and adapt in volatile business scenarios to help drive vision and direction for organization.

Works with abstract ideas across functional areas of the business to provide strategic direction towards achieving organizational goals.

Work within Xerox and partners to identify and developing compelling content to shape corporate culture (not just corporate propaganda) to achieve strategic goals of organization

Lead editorial team to create written and visual content that can be featured both externally and internally and drives awareness and business performance

After creating strategic vision, lead editorial team to Craft editorial calendar and repurposing content across multiple internal and external platforms

Lead editorial team to design and maintain a story bank that is up-to-date and can feed a variety of Marketing & Communications deliverables

Working closely with Marketing, Employee Engagement and External Relations to develop 360-degree comprehensive communications plans

Work with broader Marketing & Communications organization to develop meaningful metrics that highlight the power and effectiveness of using compelling stories to drive business results

Qualifications

Candidate Background: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

? 10+ years of journalism experience, preferably in business and technology
? Flexibility to work in dynamic, sometimes-ambiguous work environment
? Amazing writing skills and understanding of story fundamentals (character development, news hook, etc.)
? Visual, audio and written content creation experience; well developed eye/ear from great stories
? Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate and oversee the collection, production and distribution of content

Graduation in specialized field Political Science, Journalism
